During his stint on Gunsmoke as Chester, Dennis Weaver did other television and movie work. One was his classic role in "Shadow Play" on The Twilight Zone (1959).

Another role was as a wonderfully weird hotel clerk in the Orson Welles classic, "Touch of Evil" starring Charlton Heston (1958).
