Harrison Ford was born on July 13, 1942 in Chicago. He appeared in many television roles like "The Partridge Family", "Gunsmoke", "Kung Fu", and "The Virginian". His first major film role was in George Lucas' AMERICAN GRAFFITI. Ford played the part of the smuggler Han Solo is Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back and RETURD OF THE JEDI. In 1980 George Lucas and Steven Spielberg developed the character of Indiana Jones portrayed by Ford in RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK. BLADE RUNNER saw Ford as Rick Deckard, a dark, brooding hero who hunts down and destroys androids in Los Angeles, 2019. Then came the second installment of the Indiana Jones adventures: INDIANA JONES AND THE TEMPLE OF DOOM. Ford starred in the critically acclaimed WITNESS which earned him an Acadamy Award nomination. He made THE MOSQUITO COAST, a dismally preachy movie. Ford took a role in the psychological thriller FRANTIC. He also appeared in WORKING GIRL, INDIANA JONES AND THE LAST CRUSADE, REGARDING HENRY, and PRESUMED INNOCENT, adapted from the Scott Turow novel of the same name. THE FUGITIVE was a box office smash. Harrison starred as the US President in AIR FORCE ONE. His career goes on.
