Perce, September 30, 1961 Written by John Meston, Directed by Harry Harris, Guest Cast: Ed Nelson, Chuck Bail, Chuck Hayward, Alex Sharp, Norma Crane, Ken Lynch. Matt meets Perce McCall on the prairie. They camp together. Three outlaws, who think Matt's been tracking them, show up and try to kill him. Even though Perce knows the outlaws, he sides with Matt and all three outlaws are killed. Perce saved Matt's life. Perce explains that he knew the outlaws. The trouble starts when Perce meets Ida Poe, one of Kitty's girls, and decides to pursue her. Hank Seeber, who considers Ida his girl, doesn't like it. Ida's tells Perce she needs a man that can "make his own luck," (cheat at cards) and make money for her. She's unimpressed with his day job. Perce leaves Dodge and a stage is held up. When he returns, Matt questions him. Seeber starts spreading the rumor that Perce robbed the stage. This leads to a shooting.
